Samsung Launches The World’s First LED HDR Screen

Samsung today announced the launch of the world’s first LED cinema screen and installed it in the world’s largest cinema tower Lotte Cinema World Tower in South Korea.

“Cinema LED Screen, designed as a LED display screen with HDR support, creates a more enjoyable and vibrant viewing experience with the next generation of real-life image and sound quality thanks to the collaboration between Harman Professional Solutions and Samsung Audio,” the consumer electronics giant said in a statement . Samsung added that the 10.3-meter screen accommodates a variety of movie configurations while ensuring superior levels of technical performance, reliability and quality. It brings the visual power of HDR image quality to large screens, and “salutes” content with both ultra-high resolution 4K and high brightness levels nearly 10 times more powerful than standard display technologies.

The new South Korean film screen supports the JBL sound technology from Samsung’s HARMAN. Support includes the integration of powerful speakers adjacent to the screen.

Samsung said that this flexibility makes Cinema LED Screen ideal for places where you want to use their theater space for corporate events, concerts, sports events and game competitions.
