Samsung Pay service will also launch in Europe




Samsung plans to also expand its mobile payment service to Europe. When that will happen, and if that also applies to the Netherlands and Belgium, it is not yet clear. The service comes first to South Korea and the United States.

Reuters Samsung has learned that the service will later be extended to China and Europe, followed by South America and Australia. When that will happen is not yet clear; Samsung has just indicated that the launch in South Korea and the US this year will happen.

Samsung Pay combines several techniques in order to make it possible to pay, so that the technique in more places than competitive payment should work. Thus, the payment service can handle debit and credit cards and supports the service not only nfc, but also a magnetic strip which is simulated by the phone. This is done by generating a small magnetic field.
