Samsung plans to begin to display ads on smart TVs in Europe




The company plans to Samsung , South Korea ‘s starting to display ads on the bodies of smart TV in Europe over the next few months, according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal , citing informed sources.

The company exports many smart TVs annually, and most of the work directed to the US market such devices depending on the Tizen open source platform.

The move, which is not very popular in Europe, after the start of its application for a similar move in the United States in the month of June last year.

It will appear suddenly in the main menu of the latest smart TVs subsidiaries of the bar, and Samsung will use software updates to activate the square ads on the old TVs smart.

The only source talking about the coming months, did not specify a precise timetable on when to start showing ads, the information indicates the Samsung to work with agencies and its Group of advertising sales in New York to expand its customer advertisers pool.

Samsung and dominate the TV market in the world by market share of 20 percent, and sell about 50 million units per year flat, but forecasts suggest obtaining a rate of 3 to 5 percent on profits from sales of televisions.

Samsung is seeking from behind the move to diversify sources of income with respect to sector TVs, where expected future decline in the number of TVs sold because of market saturation and weak demand, which tends to make declarations.
