Samsung rolls out service for free Gear VR content

Samsung has introduced a new service for the Gear VR helmet that allows users to get free access to new video content. The offer is initially limited, but should be gradually expanded.

It includes both downloadable content as content that is streaming, as reports TechCrunch. Samsung promises videos every day and there is also made comparisons with YouTube, because the video service also return visitors. However, there is then like to put such a demand for new owners of a Gear VR will not yet be available. The version that Samsung has issued, would not be more than a preview copy his.

It comes to videos that can be viewed in 360 degrees and it is intended that the offer is extended consistently. It is intended that videos from a minute take up to ten minutes.

Samsung has itself recently announced work on a 360-degree camera. This can be achieved by a combination of seventeen full-high-definition cameras. It is according to the company, however, an intermediate step. The 360-degree camera is still under development and the final product must appear at a later stage. It is still unclear when that will be.
