Samsung shows C-Lab projects at SXSW
On the South by Southwest festival in Austin Texas in the United States, Samsung has three experimental projects shown off its ‘C-Lab’. It is an app that hummed melodies turnover in staff notation, a social media platform and ‘feel’ at Fr movement.
All three projects are still in an experimental phase. The Entrim 4D headset is a movement for virtual reality headset. The headset ensures through galvanic verstibular simulation that feels the user of the virtual reality headset movement. Gvs is a system that stimulates a nerve in the ear by electrical pulses, called the court or vestibular nerve. Through the stimulation of the nerve seems to move the body. The technique is also used in humans as a therapy form as in people who have had a stroke.
Users of the glasses with headset have a feeling that they are part of the action on the screen, such as driving a car. By coupling the pair of glasses with Drone FPV, the data of the movement sensors can be used in the drone, thus coming about the feeling of flying.
The combination of techniques has been tested on more than 1,500 people that have been developed over 30 movement patterns. One of the main reasons behind the addition to a virtual reality glasses is to prevent one of the major sources of irritation for vr: motion sickness. Samsung hopes to greatly reduce this technique.
