Samsung Wireless Audio makes 360 speakers available in the Netherlands

Samsung brings two models of the Wireless Audio speaker 360 in the Netherlands: the R7 and R6. Both single speaker must deliver high-quality sound in “every corner of the room” where the speaker is located.

The company makes the announcement in a press release. Samsung announced the new speakers end in December 2014 already and showed them for the first time at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. The new products are designed in the research undertaken by Samsung Audio Lab in California Valencia. The two egg-shaped speakers are the first two products that designed the lab.

According to the Korean company the speaker spreads the sound in all directions, so that users can enjoy good quality sound in all corners of a room. The position of the speaker, on a table or in the corner, thereby would make no difference. The oval design is the tweeter at the top and bottom of the woofer. To disperse sound better, Audio Lab developed a technology called Ring Radiator. The above the tweeter and the woofer placed under Ring Radiator would ensure that the tones balanced and with less distortion in the surrounding to be spread. How this works exactly, is not mentioned.

Both devices are connected via wifi with TV, smartphone, tablet and soundbar through the multiroom app from Samsung. The app offers a variety of streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer and TuneIn. The R 7 is the model and is intended for standing on a table or anywhere on the floor. The R6 is to take away, has a handle and is provided with a battery which can be enjoyed to six hours of music. The R6 will retail for 399 euro note; R7 cost at launch 499 euros.
