Samsung will next week in their own words the first to demonstrate a possible 5g technology, which it considers 4K videos at once will send by air with a maximum latency of one millisecond. That is 4g yet impossible.

Samsung uses therefor signals with frequencies above 6GHz, as is clear from the announcement of the South Korean manufacturer. Thus it should be possible to achieve speeds that are high enough to send the eight 4K video programs at the same time. It is a gigabit connection, says Samsung. The demonstration will take place on telecom exhibition Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Especially the low latency is important because it supposedly one of the most important improvements is in 5g . The latency of 4G is too high, for example, communication between self-propelled vehicles, which have practically direct communication lines with high speeds.

In addition, Samsung will next week on the telecom exhibition give a demonstration of the transmission of signals from antenna to antenna with extremely high frequencies between 30 and 300 GHz, a device the size of a smartphone. Current 4G networks operate at 0.8 to 2.6GHz and 5GHz there is coming in.

Samsung is one of the many companies that will give demonstrations of possible techniques for 5g on the telecom fair. Although there are many demonstrations, 5g is no established set of technologies yet. That will happen in a few years, after which people can use 5g networks and compatible devices from 2020.
