Saudi Arabia blocks Telegram

Telegram in Saudi Arabia users encounter a few days problems with the chat service. Founder Pavel Durov confirms Telegram traffic ‘partly’ is blocked. Maybe do the country much because the service would be used by ISIS supporters.

Initially thought of users Telegram had technical problems to contend with, but from a Tweet of Durov turns out not to be the case. He claims that the service in Saudi Arabia since this weekend is counteracted. Presumably, the government of that country has raised a blockade because many ISIS supporters use the instant messaging service. The government of Saudi Arabia itself has not brought out about a possible blockade.

In Iran gets the service criticism of the government. According to the country’s service to remove all ‘immoral’ content, writes TechCrunch. Telegram would make efforts to remove channels from extremist organizations. That, however, would result in little success, because there is simply new channels can be created. The Iranian committee about censorship on the Internet, would have decided Telegram last week that the country need not be blocked.
