Screenshots show software virtual reality glasses Samsung and Oculus




The Dutch Samsung fansite SamMobile has published screenshots of the app to the virtual reality glasses from Samsung and Oculus control. The glasses work by allowing sliding the phone. Users can see the real world through the camera image of the phone.

To view images from the camera image of the phone, the real world, the user must hold the Back-button that sits on the right side of the device. Operators use a touchpad on the side. The software is intended for use with the alleged Gear VR but SamMobile has the hardware and therefore can not show the software.

The screenshots show various features like ‘Panorama’ and ‘Cinema’. The site has previously released an image out of what the virtual reality glasses would be. The glasses leans like Google Cardboard on a smartphone to display the image.

Samsung would take the hardware cost while Oculus, known from the VR goggles called Oculus Rift, would ensure the software development. Samsung would like to present at the IFA electronics fair in Berlin, which takes place over six weeks the glasses.
