Scythe releases new versions of its 120mm-Slipstream case fans. Slip Stream 120 DB fans have double ball bearings, making them according to the manufacturer more than eleven times last as long as the previous series.
The case fans in the Slipstream 120 DB series have double ball bearings to reduce wear. According Scythe fans with a diameter of 120mm can therefore work an average of 350,000 hours. The previous series Slipstream 120 fans still had a simpler slide bearing and went according Scythe average after 30,000 hours rotate broken.
Scythe brings six models in the Slipstream 120 DB series. Five of these rotate at a controlled speed in the mill of 500, 800, 1200, 1600 or 1900 revolutions per minute, the sixth be guided, in PWM adjust it to a desired rotational speed between 200 and 1300rpm. The 500rpm model produces according Scythe 7,2dBA to sound and to move 41.6 cubic meters of air per hour. With 800rpm take noise and air flow increased to 10,7dBA and 68,2m³ respectively. The fan that goes around with 1,900 rpm produces 37,0dBA much more noise, but there is a greater air of 187,4m³ per hour opposite.
