Seagate 2TB SSD m2 nvme-out

Seagate has announced a 2TB version of the Nytro XM1440: an M2-SSD for enterprise applications. In addition, there appears an add-in card with the same controller as the XM1440, but with less memory.

The XF1440-line 2.5 “u2-SSDs existed a 2TB variant but Seagate now offers the XM1440-line expanded with a model that storage. The SSDs feature a Marvell 88SS1093 controller and MLC-NAND memory comes from Micron. the 2TB sSD becomes available. Unfortunately no information coming out about the price in November this year.

Seagate makes it immediately the Nytro XP7102 add-in card available to enterprises that do not yet have the m2 interface. This PCI-E card also features the Marvell 88SS1093 controller and Micron memory, but only comes with 800GB memory and 1,6TB.

The Nytro line for enterprises includes variants with full capacity and models that are optimized for endurance, but come with over-provisioning of less capacity.
