Seagate starts delivery 7mm thick 2TB HDD for laptops
Seagate is started, the delivery of his laptop first discs with a thickness of 7 mm and a storage capacity of 2TB. The discs can be used inter alia to provide a large capacity thin laptops.

The discs are a SATA600 interface equipped and feature a cache of 128MB. The HDD’s are made up of two platters 1TB and the manufacturer uses its shingled magnetic recording- technology. According to the specifications , the average seek time 13ms and the average consumption during activity 1,7W and in idle mode 0.5W.
What is not known is the rotational speed, Seagate makes but according to Computer Base is about 5400rpm. Besides 2TB models appear that new 1TB versions in the Mobile HDD line of Seagate. Suggested retail prices are still unknown, but at websites is the 2TB model is now based at prices between 120 and 140 euros including VAT.
