[Tips & Tricks] Select the text in the preview mode

Tips and tricks

Terminal

In the Mac provides a great mode called “Preview”. It not only saves our precious time but also a place among the icons of open programs and files. Unfortunately, despite all its convenience, in many ways we have this mode limits. For example, open a text document in “Preview”, you can not select text in it, for example, to copy it. Let’s fix this.

All you need to do – is put into a small terminal command:

defaults write com.apple.finder QLEnableTextSelection-bool true

That’s it. Now in preview mode (activated by “gap”), you can select and copy text. Simple, fast and convenient.
