Share of Android devices with Marshmallow grows to ten percent

The installed Marshmallow released version of Android in October 2015 to 10.1 percent of all Android devices, as Google says on his stats page. In March the figure was still 2.3 percent.

The statistics shows that the share of all Android versions below 5.1 slowly decreasing. Lollipop, consisting of versions 5.0 and 5.1, in total accounting for 35.4 percent, making it the most installed version. Version 4.4, or KitKat, is in second place with 31.6 percent. This version was in March overtaken by Lollipop.

Jelly Bean, with versions 4.1 to 4.3 part, still has a share of 18.9 percent. Ice Cream Sandwich, Gingerbread and Froyo have no larger share separately than 2 percent and are therefore strongly in the minority.

Google dropped recently the third preview of the latest version of the operating system online, which now only known as Android N. In that Google modified version how to install the operating system updates; namely, they will be running in the background. Also asked Google to users to come up with a name for Android N.
