Sharp makes first 8k television in sales for converted nearly 120,000 euros




Sharp has the first 8k television placed on the market. It was not previously a manufacturer released a TV with such a high resolution. The television is not cheap. He must muster 16 million yen, converted almost 120,000 euros.

The TV has a diagonal of 85 “and a resolution of 7640×4320. This display has 104 pixels per inch, far higher than many other TVs. The number of pixels is four times higher than at 4k TVs and sixteen times higher than in a fullhd variant.

The brightness of the display comes up to 1000 cd / m2, reports AVWatch. Managing the image is via four HDMI cables, although connections must be in the future that can drive 8k images with a cable.

It is the first 8k TV that appears on the market, although several manufacturers have shown prototypes fairs seeing such displays. Sharp showed itself a prototype in January 2011. There is hardly anything to look at full resolution, because a lot of content such as movies and series, come online or broadcast to up to 4k. The 8k television therefore appears particularly designed for companies.

It is unknown whether manufacturers are working on 8k televisions for home. Such resolutions appear in the living room superfluous and manufacturers mainly seem to focus on improving image by example HDR.
