Silverstone has a range of enclosures for all market segments: compact ITX enclosures as the Sugo- and Milo series to the Fortress series for high-end systems and the Kublai series for budget systems. Since 2009, however Silverstone has a somewhat less conventional series at home: the Ravens.

The Raven series, such as Silverstone describes it, meant for extreme enthusiast’ systems. Actually means above all that the Ravens enclosures are made for gamers. These are some grotesque enclosures with colored accents and plastic elements that give the housing according Silverstone an ‘aggressive styling.

The main feature, if you look past the design, however, the layout of the housing. As we have come to expect from Raven enclosures, Silverstone has the internal layout rotated ninety degrees. That means that the motherboard is not directed backwards but stands up with the I / O ports on the top.

The X01 is the latest addition to the Raven series and herein the smallest ATX case so far. It is available in black with red, blue or green accents and a window, and there is a version with red accents without window. The latter we have tested and we compare with previous Raven enclosures.
