SkyDrive gets shared lists, folders and settings backup Mounting

Microsoft’s SkyDrive cloud service gets new features that make a comfortable and practical use of the service. When you come to enjoy the new features, however, is not yet clear. It is also unclear whether the new features are introduced simultaneously or sequentially available.

In detail, there are three functions that relate to the sharing of lists, synchronization of shared files and the backup device settings.

Shared Lists: This feature will make it easier to locate mainly divided files. Instead of having to laboriously search for a shared file in folders, lists of up to 100 files can be created, which is then divided again. But other options for sharing files remain. It is an additional means to facilitate splitting.

Folder Mounting: The desktop sync client leaves a processing of shared files to only online. These files are not available offline. It will be possible to mount the online storage of people who have shared something, and thus to synchronize with his own PC. The desktop sync client will be integrated into the way Windows 8.1, so far you have to install it separately.

Device Settings Backup Management: SkyDrive will allow an adjustment of backup devices. It is still unclear which devices are supported, but both Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8 support the use of setting backups on SkyDrive.
