Skype allows group video calls on mobile devices

Skype will allow conducting group video calls on Android, iOS and Windows Mobile devices 10. The new functionality is announced to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the service.

Video calls with multiple people at the same time it was already possible with the Skype desktop client, but not on mobile devices. Since the service is now to change. Gurdeep Pall, corporate vice president of the service, the news has been announced via a video message.

Pall says that the functionality “soon” is available. It is not known when the function is activated. Those interested can register through registration for conducting group video calls. According to Skype more than 750 million people have installed the service on their smartphone or tablet. There were in the past ten years two billion minutes of video calls are conducted according to the service.
