Slovak company unveils flying car




A Slovak company Wednesday unveiled the first flying car that should be on the market. The flying car on the road up to 160 kilometers per hour and draw about 200 kilometers per hour in the air.

The Slovak Mobil Aero 3.0 is still a prototype, but really have to come to the market according to the company. The prototype runs and flies with the same Rotax 912 engine. The company claims that it is close to approval by the Slovak government to the road and the air allowed in the home country. How it is in other countries, is unknown. It is obvious that drivers must have a license to airworthy, but how exactly that is, the company has made no statements.

The car consumes eight liters per 100km and expire one at 12.5. In the air, the consumption drops to 15 liters per hour; at the maximum speed of 200 kilometers per hour is therefore 7.5 liters per 100km. Filling allows users at motorway stations, as regular gasoline goes in.

Mobil Aero is not a new idea: the designer, Stefan Klein, has been playing for almost 25 years with the idea and has already built several prototypes. When the flying car comes on the market and what it should cost, is still unknown.
