Android continues to grow inexorably, in the last year market shares were achieved at the 79% worldwide in smartphones. So one has in the last year the bottom line almost four times more market share than its closest competitor from Apple.

Every month is emerging more strongly that there will be over a longer period probably only three major operating systems for smartphones. With a market share of nearly 79% Android is clearly at rank 1, with 17.6% is knocked off Apple’s iOS but still pretty clearly before Windows Phone of rank 2 All other systems that are still so left come together on a 2% of the total market.
Given these figures, it seems ever to be ever slightly larger hard for Firefox OS and Tizen. However, as in Windows Phone is still obtained.
Opportunities for competitors? Tizen has combined strong companies such as Intel and Samsung. Firefox OS can prevail in emerging economies particularly cheap cell phones, the Android is also possible.
