Snapchat comes with Memories, a way to save photos taken in the app and search. The function next month will be available to all users and works with a swipe up from the startup screen with the camera.

Users can press a button to keep a ‘snap’ into Memories. Snapchat then backed up that photo and using metadata and image analysis makes the app’s photos searchable on keywords like “dog”. That technology used Google as the first in its Photos app and is also in iOS 10 , the update to Apple’s mobile operating system which comes out this fall.

From the new feature users can also share photos or collections of photographs. Memories also includes a “My eyes only ‘mode to hide photos that do not want to show to other users. The function only backs up photos that make users in the app and takes no photos in the gallery of the smartphone.

Snapchat makes the job the next month available for users of his app on Android and iOS. The company behind the chat app slowly picks up the release, because at its say want to be sure that everything runs smoothly as many of its 150 million daily users start using the feature.
