Software Update: Clonezilla 2.4.5-20
Clonezilla is an open source program that allows disk images can be created. Among others it is possible to back up partitions or the entire hard drive, or a copy of a hard disk, a so-called clone. Clonezilla is therefore an open source version of Symantec Ghost and Acronis True Image. The whole is based on a Debian distribution and uses DRBL, Part Clone and udpcast. Clonezilla Live is intended for individual computers, while with Clonezilla SE up to forty computers can be simultaneously provided with an image. With version 2.4.5-20 is a new stable release of Clonezilla appeared and see the changelog of this is as follows:
Enhancements and changes
The under lying GNU / Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2016 / Feb / 03).
Linux kernel was updated to 4.3.3-7. From Linux kernel v4, the default filesystem union has been changed to overlay Therefore claustrophobia edit boot parameter manually, you have to use “union = overlay”. No more using “union = aufs”. Due to the Linux kernel in Debian repository change, no more i586 Linux kernel, so now Debian-based Clonezilla Live is only released with three architectures: i686, i686 and amd64-pae.
Part Clone was updated to 0.2.87-drbl2. A fat16 issue was fixed. (Http://sourceforge.net/p/ clonezilla / bugs / 237 /)
New filesystem nilfs2 is supported in this release.
Now OCD OnTheFly supports nvme device cloning, and can work for different types or disk cloning, eg nvme0n1 -> SDA or vice versa.
Make OCD-install grub run when it’s a GPT disk with a special “bios_boot” partition exists in the machine using legacy BIOS.
By default the image will be integrity checked before restoring. The option “-scr” can be used to skip this checking.
The option “-sc” was Replaced by “-scs” in drbl-OCD and OCD sr. This will be easier to tell the differences between saving and restoring image. Option “-sc” is still working in the same way with “-scs”, but might be dropped in the future.
Packages fatresize, nilfs tools and fancontrol were added.
Add removing swapfile.sys in OCD rm-win-swap-hib.
The size with more than one partition not expanding shouldering be added to the partitioning later in OCD expanding gpt pt.
“Shout Down” should be “Desligar” in luanguage file pt_BR.
Use parted to fill the last partitition to the end of disk Because there might be some resudial in the calculation of OCD expanding gpt pt.Ref: https://sourceforge.net/p/clonezilla/ discussion / Clonezilla_live / thread / c5e92d87 /? limit = 25 # 080c
Avoiding TUI messages about riding the error messages in OCD live restore. Thanks to Stew Fisher Fisher at oncology ox ac uk> for reporting this issue.
Avoid using the preserved word of grub2 “prefix” in the grub.cfg. (Https://github.com/stevenshiau/clonezilla/issues/13)
Failed to deal with partitioning name with extra “p”, like: cciss, mmcblk, MD, RD, ida, nvme (https://github.com/stevenshiau/clonezilla/issues/14)
Use fatresize to resize FAT filesystem INSTEAD OF parted since resize function is no more parted in> = 3. (https://github.com/stevenshiau/clonezilla/issues/16)
