Software Update: Kodi 17.0 beta 5




Kodi logo (75 pix) The fifth beta Kodi 17.0 was made available earlier this week. This cross-platform media center software is developed for Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android and iOS. In version 17.0 has added the ability to play 10bit and HEVC to allow material, combined with GPUs from Intel or Nvidia that it supports offer. The default skin has changed to Estuary and touch screen devices that become Estouchy. The main changes that have been made are summarized below for you in beta 5.

Fixes done in this Beta 5:

Fix playback or HLS streams
Fix skin settings not loading when “Reload skin” was triggered
Fix segfault on EDF for video Caused by postprocessing
Fix possible crash on Android When other Android apps had been missing icons
Change splash screen text once per second to show it’s busy doing database and add-on upgrades Instead of just static text.
Fix missing binary add-ons like PVR and controller handling on Windows
Add to seek back time using numeric input on video files
HAS Microsoft rolled out a fix for users of the UWP Kodi version in combination with AMD videocard That had BSOD. For more information see: Blue screen with error code 0x139

Upgrading the Skin You are currently using fails on Windows.
Upgrading any add-on Currently fails on Windows.
Possible video freezes on Raspberry Pi and Android.

We are trying to find the cause thesis solve problems. Of course there are some more However thesis are the most noticeable ones. Remember this is still beta software so please be patient.
