Software Update: Newsbin Pro 6.62 build 4314 beta 1
There is a new version of NewsBin Pro released a beta time. This program enables files such as photos, videos and programs are taken from usenet. It has everything you would expect from a Usenet downloader, such as support for multithreading, ssl and autopar. Furthermore, there are extensive filtering capabilities, and can be an optional Usenet search service to be used. Version 6.62 is a bugfix release for version 6.60.
Version 6.62 Beta 1 Build 4314
We’ve made changes to 6.61 to try to address issues people have been reporting about assembly or incomplete posts failing. This Seems to be exacerbated by what looks like propagation delays with some of the news servers. Ook It looks like people running watchlists are getting hit pretty hard by it.
Summary of Changes:
Changed how aggressive assembly mode works, now tied to the retry counter. After retries run out on an incomplete post, Newsbin will assemble.
Added option to turn on strict yEnc. It is off by default now.
Fixed issue where small single post non-files were not incrementing the retry counter.
Fixed issue where a connection failure When performing an Internet search would display the wrong error.
Fixed the ability to create an NZB from wishlist.
Fixed issue loading GZ encoded NZB’s. It was interrupted.
Fixed issue where the “Show File Ames” setting was not being honored in expanded files.
