Software update should malfunction smart gas meters will soon remedy

The fault which certain smart gas meters not pass their gas meters teeth, seems to be solved. Meter Supplier Iskrameco test the update this week. If all goes well, the dealer distributes the new software from Saturday.

To get the update, the customer need do nothing, reports Netbeheer Netherlands in an e-mail Tweakers. However, it can take several weeks before all 400 000 affected addresses have the update inside. Only when the new software is in, the current gas meters teeth meter itself can again pass on apps and the energy supplier.

Because the measurement a few weeks is not passed, it may be that the energy supplier for billing estimates used in some cases. It is also possible for the supplier to fit a customer asks manually to pass the gas meters teeth. The gas meters have measured the consumption during the outage.
