Sonos brings audio calibration tool and new version of Play: 5 speaker from




Sonos has released a new version of its wireless Play: 5 speaker announced, with a different look and interior. In addition brings the company’s Play True to its speakers, which allows users to calibrate the audio.

The new Play: 5 contains three woofers and tweeters three, of which one in the middle and two which are directed sideward. The three woofers incorporate a lot in a little more space. The original has three smaller woofers and two tweeters. In the middle is the touch sensitive button to play and pause tracks, flanked by volume keys which can be swept to fast songs in a playlist.

The speaker has a 3.5mm jack and an Ethernet port. The system can communicate wirelessly over six WiFi antennas. The speaker can be positioned vertically or horizontally and can also be combined two vertical speakers for improved stereo imaging. The tweeters are facing each other can then disable users. The Play: 5 will cost 579 euros and this year is in black and white available.
