Sony releases its FE 135mm f / 1.8 GM lens in April. The bright telephoto lens is made for the mirrorless full-frame cameras of the manufacturer. Sony also releases new circular polarizing filters with diameters ranging from 49mm to 82mm.

According to Sony, the 135mm f / 1.8 lens delivers good performance at all aperture settings. The optical design would be good for a high resolution and the aperture consists of eleven slats, for a beautiful display of background blur. The design consists of thirteen lens elements in ten groups and the housing is made of a magnesium alloy.

The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 70 centimeters and weighs 950 grams. The filter thread has a diameter of 82mm. Sony provides the 135mm of four linear autofocus motors, which are divided into two separate lens groups. That should provide fast autofocus and accurate tracking.

Sony also comes with a new series of circular polarizing filters, for lens diameters 49mm, 52mm, 62mm, 76mm, 72mm, 77mm and 82mm. The new filters are equipped with a Zeiss coating and have suggested retail prices of 110 euros for the smallest one, up to 260 euros for the largest version. The filters also come out in April.
