Sony 65 “-X90C Review – The thinnest ever UHDTV





The Sony X90C is the thinnest UHDTV ever made. He looks good and thanks to the included wall bracket to attach super tight to a wall. Its good image quality, this TV should not have it, because the contrast, the uniformity of the backlight and color reproduction without calibration disappointing, especially for a TV in this price range. The biggest problem of this TV is the software, because it is currently still not good enough.

At the beginning of this year at CES in Las Vegas, we could all take a look at the Sony X90C, the world’s thinnest LCDTV. With a thickness of only 4,9mm at the top and bottom 4cm this TV is a very striking UHDTV with a sleek design. We are just waiting, but finally we were able to get a copy for review. We watched the 65 “model, which was at the time of writing for 3400 euro in the Pricewatch. There is also a 55” version, which should cost about 2300 euros.

The X90C TV runs on Android, Google’s operating system for televisions and media players, which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. This gives you access to a wide range of apps and games in the Play Store. Also, the cast-protocol site, we know from the Chromecast allow your videos and music through your phone or tablet can play the TV and that the TV picks the required stream itself from the Internet, so that the mobile device for direct other items may be used.

In addition to an infrared remote control, you get a One Flick remote: remote control with a touchpad, which now includes a microphone for searches by voice. Besides uhd images can show the X90C 3D using passive glasses. This you’ll need to buy it myself, because they are, despite the high price for the TV not included.
