Sony PlayStation Plus price increases on 1 September




Sony goes from 1 September increase prices of its PlayStation Plus subscription. Instead of 15 euros per quarter must be paid 20 euros there. The company points ‘market conditions’ as the reason for the price increase.

The Italian website VG247 was one of the first to the price of PlayStation Plus reported on the basis of an e-mail that is sent by Sony. Across Push Square affirmed the company that prices go up on 1 September. For a quarterly subscription must be paid 20 euros, whereas previously a price of 15 euros was used. There were no plans to increase the price of the annual subscription, which is currently 50 euros.

For the price Sony carries no obvious reasons. The company states that the new price is due to market conditions, but what this exactly meant by unclear. Moreover, the price increase only seems to apply to European countries.

Previously, Sony had yet know that customers are members of PlayStation Plus will have the opportunity to vote on games; the one who gets the most votes will be the following month free of charge.
