Sony: recording gameplay with PlayStation 4 is free

After Microsoft has announced that including gameplay footage is reserved for players with a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription, let Sony know that there is no question of the PlayStation 4. Can also record without paid subscription.

Shuhei Yoshida, head of the Sony Worldwide Studios, let know via Twitter that including gameplay footage not in the PlayStation 4 is reserved for players who have a paid Playstation Plus subscription. Competitor Microsoft made known earlier this week that the Xbox One though has to be paid to withdraw and online gameplay footage. Players have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, which costs 5 euros per month.

The option to include and online gameplay footage is new. In the current generation, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, can’t do that. Sony’s PlayStation 4, which by the end of this year comes on the market, May 15-minute gameplay; competitor Xbox One, which in november comes on the market, can record up to 5 minutes gameplay.
