From August 1 to PlayStation 4 owners their gameplay no longer live streaming via Ustream. Sony has announced to discontinue its cooperation with the service from that date. Stream continues via Twitch, YouTube and Dailymotion.

Sony gives no reason for discontinuation of the Ustream support. The news was announced in a brief statement on the support website. Besides streaming gameplay is no longer possible from 1 August to watch Ustream feeds of others via PlayStation App, PS4 and Vita.

Possibly related to the discontinuation of the collaboration between Sony and Ustream with the acquisition of the streaming service by IBM earlier this year. IBM said at the time to want the service deployment for its business customers.

It is not known how many people were using the broadcast via Ustream on the PS4. Presumably there is more use of Twitch, which has grown in recent years into the biggest game streaming platform.
