Sony X90C-UHDTV Preview – World’s thinnest LCDTV




Sony at CES shows a series of new associate professor televisions, which are all equipped with Google’s operating system Android TV. Sony does have more TVs with an eye-catching design, but this year the Japanese manufacturer with a very striking model. At the fair you could see lots of people keep their phone next to the screen. The X90C is because the LCDTV flattest in the world, with a thickness of only 4,9mm, thinner than all smartphones that until now have been placed on the market.

The X90C may well be the thinnest LCDTV, the slimmest OLED TV, LG’s EA9809 , was only 4.5mm a few tenths of a millimeter thinner, so thin that the screen or had become very flexible. LG has also made later models than a millimeter thicker to improve rigidity. The X90C the screen is tough enough when you normally deal with, but it is much more vulnerable than a normal TV.

The Aircraft is not as thin everywhere; underneath is a lot thicker, so there is also room in the housing for the required control electronics, speakers and connectors. Even at its thickest point is the TV not thick; more than a few inches, it is not.
