Sony Xperia X Review – Midrange phone for high-end price

The Xperia X is a smartphone that takes to release 599 euros and that is just way, way too much money. In a market with fierce competition and where prices fall rapidly, you have to release Xperia X to count down the same amount as for a Galaxy S7 or LG G5. He is simply not worth it. he lays it down in terms of speed and camera at the high-end competition. He is unlike previous expensive Xperia’s not waterproof. If the price of the Xperia X falls firmly, it can be an interesting alternative, because it is not in itself a bad phone, but the current price is the Xperia X nobody advisable. Who wants a high-end Sony phone is better off with the Z5 or Z5 Compact, which are both cheaper and better.

Farewell, Xperia Z. With the release of the Xperia X comes in all probability an end to some other series from Sony, including the high-end Z-series. It was perhaps the aansprekendste smartphone series that Sony has ever had. The Omni Balance design with a metal frame, surrounded by two layers of glass, offered a recognizable style. The Xperia Z was the first fully designed by Sony Ericsson phone after the Japanese manufacturer from the joint venture Sony Ericsson had bought. And it was coming to waive that Sony wanted to impress.

After the Xperia Z followed the Z1, Z2, Z3, Z3 and Z5 +, all with refinements, such as shock-proof and water-proof corners ports without flaps. Now Sony has sent the Z series to retire in favor of a new series, which supposedly ended the entire smartphone line-up from Sony to replace: the Xperia X.

X comes at a precarious time. It’s not quite on quarter deliveries of Sony phones and quarter the Japanese automaker sees declining interest in its smartphones. The X-series should provide a comeback. In addition to these X there come a more expensive Performance X, XA and XA and a cheaper Ultra. This X is a foretaste of what is to be a successful new series. Tweakers looking at him in this review.
