Find a Question:
Spain imposes a tax on the service because of Google News
British Parliament passed a law that allows news publishers to get money from providing services online news and search engines like Google in the case that the services mentioned view the contents of the news for publishers within the search results.
The decision comes after efforts by a group of news organizations in Spain and directed particularly against some of the news services such as “Google News” , which collects news from different sources and present them in a special service site. The law comes into effect with the beginning of the year 2015, but it did not specify the amounts that must be paid by companies on the Internet for news organizations.
According to the decision, it is incumbent on Google and other companies that provide similar services in exchange for payment to obtain copyrighted news articles that are retrieved from various sources. For its part, Google expressed disappointment with this decision, and said it will work with the news publishers in Spain to help them increase their profits.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first time that exposed Google for a similar law, where the former group of German publishing companies claim that Google does is serve as a re-deployment of the materials of their own, leading to losses in profits, resulting in Google workers to delete links companies objecting, However, these companies have fallen back to what led him to delete from its ties to Google’s decline in visits to their sites.Viewing:-195
