Spotify abandons P2P and goes through central servers play all the music




Music service Spotify gets a few months to purely central servers to allow users to play music. In recent years, the department also worked with P2P to lag when playing a song at least keep.

P2p functionality has now been no need to play music quickly and can all come from central servers, says Spotify opposite the Dutch site TorrentFreak. Spotify used the P2P feature in recent years since the establishment of central servers that serve millions of users with a library of millions of songs, probably an expensive operation.

Spotify p2p used, is no surprise, claims the Dutch site. One of the engineers Spotify worked on the bittorrent protocol, and the client uTorrent. Stopping streaming via P2P will sometime in the next few months.
