Spotify introduces a customized search and radio function

for Premium subscribers
By means of an update, Spotify gives users of their Premium subscription a new search function and a customized artist radio function. In addition, the navigation has gone wrong. The update comes out for Android and iOS.

According to Spotify , the update, which is released worldwide from Thursday, is intended to make discovering new music easier. The search page now displays the genres that a user listens the most at the top. The selection adapts to the listening behavior, the company promises.

In addition, radio stations based on a specific artist or a specific number are now ‘endless’ and the radio stations regularly refresh. In the current version of the service, a station generally remained unchanged. The radio stations must also be downloadable.

Finally Spotify changes the navigation within his app, so that in the navigation bar at the bottom only the buttons ‘Home’, ‘Search’ and ‘Library’ can be found, so that ‘Browse’ and ‘Radio’ disappear. According to the music streaming service, the Home tab is primarily intended for suggestions and users can go to the Library for their own songs and podcasts.
