Spotify with redesign and new features for desktop, iOS and Web

The music streaming service Spotify has updated its apps for mobile and desktop, and the web player comes in a new design. The New Black Theme of the player is to move the content to the fore, not detract from the music. With the new music collection and improved Browse feature arises as to the user a better way of use, which leads to fewer interactions to music. Available is the Spotify on the dark side of the Force for the desktop apps in the web player and for iOS devices. The Android version will follow later, if and when a new Windows Phone app follows, could (or would) Spotify do not say so clearly, today, and tomorrow it will not in any case be the case.

Besides the playlists can be saved in the new version albums by artists with a tap. These are then collected in the music collection. The playlists are unaffected. It looks like you can still only save playlists for offline use, to choose their own albums under “My Music”, missing there any storage option. Under “My Music” allows the collection then for artists, albums and songs show. So it is also in the web player and in the iOS app.

The Browse feature has also been revised and is now to deliver more relevant content will always have the right music. While the changes at first glance appear only visually, the numerous refinements, such as browse, search and music collection offer the items that actually improve a use. Above all, it looks across multiple platforms from uniform, the seamless use of Spotify across multiple devices is simplified.

The new design will be gradually distributed to the user, starting from today. The updated iOS app should then also be available soon on the AppStore. As already mentioned, there is still no firm date for the Android app. What do you say about the new Spotify?
