Square Enix announces Dragon Quest Heroes for PS4

The Japanese publisher Square Enix has a new Dragon Quest game, announced during a press conference of Sony Computer Entertainment in Japan. It is not yet known when Dragon Quest Heroes to appear on the market.

Square Enix, Tecmo Koei and Sony presented Dragon Quest Heroes at the end of a PlayStation press conference held on Monday. In Japan Omega Force, which was previously responsible for the Dynasty Warriors series, is developing the game. That descent is seen in the first images of Dragon Quest Heroes: like in Dynasty Warriors Dragon Quest Heroes seems like a hack & slash-game to which players are faced with large groups of enemies at once.

Simultaneously with the release of Dragon Quest Heroes, which Square Enix and Sony have mentioned no date will be a new variant coming from the PlayStation 4 console. Sony is a silver PlayStation 4 showing a themed image of the game. Presumably, this console as a bundle with the game are for sale, but details about it, such as a release date and a price, Sony has not yet released. The game also appears except for the PlayStation 4 incidentally for the PlayStation 3.

The imminent arrival of Dragon Quest Heroes makes an end to a period of ten years where no Dragon Quest game appeared on a PlayStation platform. Dragon Quest 8 was published in 2004, so far the last game in the series that appeared on a PlayStation console.
