Steam seems games with ‘bot review’ to have made inaccessible
Valve seems to have taken a number of games in its online game store Steam from sale after it was discovered that bots were deployed to write reviews. Previously, the group was put which is responsible for placing the reviews already locked.
Oath Reddit user posted a list of games that are no longer for sale within Steam. It still seems that a Russian game developer named Rai Studio Games is held responsible for the previously detected fraud review; all published games from the creator are removed from sale.
Because Valve itself has given no explanation, it remains to be seen what the exact reason for the blockade. A large number botaccounts were found associated with the blocked games, which probably encouraged the suspicions. If there are found other culprits will therefore remains to be seen. The collision also placed on review games from other developers, but it is possible that they have done this to seem legitimate.
Friday discovered the organization SteamSpy that a large group of bots running on Steam, which are mainly engaged in the placement of highly positive reviews. By the pattern in the names and text SteamSpy could figure out that these are bots. Valve then took action by the group to block the bots were associated.
