STMicroelectronics by AEC-Q100 certified STM8AF is welcomed by the market economy microcontroller products, with a number of useful features including CAN and LIN drivers, touch sensing / LCD control, etc., are widely used in body control and car infotainment systems, such as seat control, instrument displays and lighting controls. Its reliable execution capabilities can significantly enhance the ride comfort and the driver’s attention in order to achieve better, more secure user experience, an auto supplier that designs meet the ISO 26262 functional safety standard ASIL [3] A or B level system. STM8A-SafeASIL security tools STMicroelectronics new release is intended to guide the design to better use a microcontroller to ensure the application system to achieve the desired safety integrity level, and then to assist automobile manufacturers and suppliers faster and more smoothly through the product certification.

The safety manual STMicroelectronics and market-leading functional safety solution provider YOGITECH work together to develop, integrate hardware and software and provide guidance for the design, which includes a series of operational recommendations and know-how to assist engineering personnel to ensure proper and safe STM8AF to carry out its work, excluded due to the microcontroller caused a system error.

Additional safety manual FMEDA file lists error STM8 IP module that may occur, allowing designers to ensure system security to achieve the desired level of safety integrity.

The Safety Manual Data Suite is the industry’s first 8 yuan microcontroller development kit, with immediate effect STM8A microcontroller users can obtain free safety manual to http://www.st.com/stm8safety; while STMicroelectronics also provides Free FMEDA file, but the user must sign a confidentiality agreement in advance (Non-Disclosure Agreement, NDA).
