LEGObot is based on an early version of the Makerbot Replicator, presented in January 2012, and differs from the prototype that prints a hot glue instead of plastic. In addition to bricks LEGO, LegoBot uses components from a set of programmable Lego Mindstorms NXT robots to create.
In the future, Kruger plans to experiment with wax and rubber as consumables. This will expand the functionality of LEGObot. The author describes his development of a prototype and promises to provide the final product later.
