Studio behind Yakuza games releases detective game

Judgment on June 25 for PS4
Sega announces that the detective game Judgment in the West will be released on June 25th. It is only a release for the PlayStation 4. The game is made by the studio behind the Yakuza games and was already released in Japan.

On Twitter, publisher Sega reports that Judgment will be released on June 25, but those who post a pre-order will already have access to the game four days earlier. It has been clear since December last year that the detective game gets a western release , but until now no date was known.

The Yakuza team from Sega, the studio Ryu ga Gotoku, has released the game in Japan last December under the title Judge Eyes. In the story-driven game, a lawyer is on the hunt for a serial killer and has to work his way through the underworld.

Judgment takes place in the fictional district of Kamurocho, originally created for the Yakuza games. In addition to the search, there will also have to be fought; there are two fighting styles present. So there are the necessary agreements with the Yakuza games, but Gamespot reports that Toshihiro Nagoshi, the director of the studio, has indicated that Judgment is ‘completely different’ from earlier titles.

The new game from Ryu ga Gotoku is completely written in English, although players can also choose the original version with Japanese spoken texts and music. An English subtitle can be set.
