A recent study revealed a high volume of traffic to the Internet via mobile phones by nearly 6 percent in 2013, compared to last year.

The study showed that “statcounter” specialist in statistic Web visitor rates, the volume of traffic to the Internet via mobile phones became last July represents 17.4% of total traffic, compared to 11.1% in the same period.

The study pointed out that the largest percentage of traffic to Internet phones from Asia by 26.6%, followed by Africa with 23.7% of the total traffic to the Web.

The proportion of traffic to the Internet via mobile phones in Europe, while 9.7% on the North American continent 15.2%, and in the South American continent 6.8%, while in the continent of Oceania amounted for around 14.6%.

Drew “statcounter” study results from thousands of sites that use services from around the world, monitoring traffic to the Internet via either conventional phones can connect to the Internet or smart, and the site includes the volume of traffic to the Web via tablets as separate devices considered smartphones.
