Survey on Windows XP: End of Support on 8 April, as it looks at you?

On 08 The end of Windows XP April has come. No more updates for the aged operating system, only the Microsoft Security Essentials have not received a grace period and be on the system until the middle of next year supplied with updates. Microsoft has tried a lot in advance to advise the user on the support end of Windows XP, there was free software , in order to move the system, and even discount on hardware . WinXP_HED ~ 3

To really reach the Final, Microsoft pushed an update even an information message on the computer that pointed to the threat of support from and I also think that I have seen on TV a little on the subject. According to measurements of Netmarketshare implemented in March, some 27.69 percent of all computer system Windows XP a – way too much when it comes to Microsoft – the last rites now faces the door.

Pure information technology has done a lot and yet many will work a little on the system. Various authorities in Germany fall again deep in the pocket to get further support and even small companies will continue working with Windows XP since they apparently overlooked the information from Microsoft – or simply wegklickten the popup.

In March 2014 were recorded here on the blog 1.38079 million visits. 799 151 of these were done with a Windows machine. And of these 799 151 visits were made after all still 57 239 from an XP machine from – this corresponds to 7.16 percent.

And now come the questions: how does it look at you? Sets her private, or in the company nor Windows XP? When is changed – and if once not, why not? It would be interesting even in a discussion whether maybe even changed to a different platform, such as Mac, Linux or ChromeOS – let’s hear it!
