Swift Playgrounds will be able to program robots and drones on June 5




Apple, as is known, educates iOS programmers yet on the school bench, in which the Swift Playgrounds application helps . With the update, which will be released on June 5, the program for teaching programming will acquire the capabilities of programming robots, drones and musical instruments.

How does this happen? For example, a student wants to program drones from Parrot or devices like LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3. He connects them to his iPad via Bluetooth and carries out the necessary manipulations. To expand the list of supported gadgets, Apple works with leading device manufacturers.

Now more than 1 million children and adults around the world are studying the basics of Swift programming in the Swift Playgrounds application. Now anyone can program popular devices and manage them through the application.

The new version of the program under the number 1.5 will be available in the App Store starting from Monday, June 5 . The Swift Playgrounds application is compatible with all models of iPad Air and iPad Pro, as well as iPad mini 2 running iOS 10 and newer.
