Synology unveils its first router




At CeBIT, the Synology RT1900c shown, the first router of the company. The router offers 802.11ac WiFi and also has an SD card reader. Synology want the router to run on Synology Router Manager, an OS that is very similar to its NAS DSM operating system.

According to the German website Golem turned the prototype shown at Cebit still on DiskStation Manager 5.2 beta, which is a good chance that the router eventually Synology Router Manager will have almost the same capabilities as DSM 5.2 on the current NAS models of the company. Because the router also has a USB input and an SD card reader features, might come nas capability is also available on the wired and wireless network.
