T-Mobile lets Home customers watch TV on desktop and laptop

via browser
T-Mobile has made its TV Anywhere service suitable for use in the browser. This allows customers to watch TV on desktops and laptops via the service. Until now, this was only possible through the company’s app.

T-Mobile has sent customers an e-mail on Thursday saying that TV Anywhere works in the browser, a T-Mobile Home customer writes on GoT . The provider does not mention any requirements to the browser on the site , but refers customers to the apps with a mobile browser on iOS or Android. Logging in takes place with the customer number and pin code, the same as on the set-top box and in the apps.

Users can cast the image to a TV via Google Cast. It is the first time that TV Anywhere works on laptops and desktops. The site should have gone live in August . Other providers of TV services, such as Ziggo and KPN, have long offered that customers can watch TV channels via the browser. T-Mobile has been offering TV services via Thuis for a year and a half. It was given the services because Vodafone had to sell it when it merged with Ziggo in the Netherlands.
