Take-Two has delivered nearly one hundred million copies of GTA V

The deliveries of Grand Theft Auto: V approach the hundred million copies. That says publisher Take-Two with the quarterly figures. The game from 2013 still ensures a high turnover due to the sale of in-game money.

A top publisher of Take-Two mentions the number of delivered copies in an earnings call , of which a transcript can be read at Seeking Alpha . According to him, the sale of the game in the past quarter was above expectations and the expenses that players spent on in-game purchases were higher than expected.

According to the CEO, the recently released After Hours update for GTA Online in the first week after the release had more players than the Doomsday Heist update that came out in December last year. The new update that adds nightclubs is the most successful expansion for GTA Online so far. Rockstar Games will continue to add updates to GTA Online according to publisher Take-Two to move players to keep money in the game.

Take-Two achieved a turnover of 388 million dollars in the past quarter . That is less than the $ 418.2 million last year, but there were no new games in the quarter this year, except Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Online Edition. The quarterly profit came to 71.7 million dollars, an increase of about 19 percent compared to last year.

The income from recurring expenses continues to rise. 62 percent of the total turnover came from that category, including dlc, virtual money and in-app purchases. Last year that was 41 percent in the comparable quarter. Most recurring expenditures are made in GTA V, but how much that is exactly does not record Take-Two.
