Take-Two Interactive has sold since its initial release in September 2013 more than 52 million copies of Grand Theft Auto V. The publisher gets most of its revenue from the GTA franchise.

Take-Two Interactive mention the sales results of GTA V, which now also for the PC is available in its quarterly figures. The company also takes an increasing share of its revenues from online distribution channels. Meanwhile, 47 percent of the turnover is achieved via these channels. Especially in-game spending, such as expenditures gamers do in the online component of Grand Theft Auto V, and the acquisition of new content, grew strongly.

Besides “cash cow” GTA V Take-Two was also able to achieve success with games like NBA 2K, Evolve, Borderlands and WWE 2K. For the coming period, the publisher hopes to again generate revenue with new titles in his NBA and WWE franchises.
