Team17 has announced that indie game Planet Alpha will be released on September 4th. The sidescroller , which has been working on since 2013, comes to the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch and the PC.

The game combines elements of classic 2D platform games with puzzles and stealth according to the makers. Over time, players are given the opportunity to influence the day and night cycle of the planet. This cycle again influences the behavior of the environment and that should give players the opportunity to solve puzzles.

The development of the game began in 2013 as a project of game developer Adrian Lazar, who at that time worked at IO Interactive. He was awarded money from the Unreal Dev Grand to work on the game. With this, he and seven other people were able to make the game, he says on the Unreal Engine website.

Team17 will announce the appearance date in a video on YouTube and a post on Steam . The price of Planet Alpha has not yet been announced.
